Eligibility Criteria For Admission

B.Tech (IT/ECE/ Energy Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering)

• 10+2 in science stream, with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Maths & Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical  and Vocational Subjects ( Relaxed By 5% for SC/ST Candidates
• Candidates must have valid positive JEE(Main) Score.

B.A.LL.B (Hons)

• 10+2 passed in any stream with a minimum of 50% Marks in Aggregate (45% for SC/ST)
•  Admission will be as per merit secured in the admission test conduct by Department

 Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)

• 10 +2 Passed  with minimum of 50% Aggregate
• Candidates must have 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths

MBA ( Agri-Business & Food Technology)

• Candidates must have  55% marks (45% for SC/ST) in B.sc ( Life Science, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Microbiology and all related subject)
•  Candidates are required to fill up the NEHU Application form enclosing their respective MAT score

Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM)

• Candidates  with 3 years degree course in any discipline with min 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
• Candidates must have a valid MAT score

M.Tech in Information Technology(IT)

• B.E./B.Tech in IT/CSE/ECE/Electrical Engineering or M.Sc in Electronics with a minimum of  60% Aggregate marks ( 55% for SC/ST
• GATE qualified candidates will be given preference

M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering

• B.E/B.Tech. in ECE/ Electrical Engineering or M.Sc in Electronics with a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks aggregate
• GATE qualified candidates will be  given due weightage

 M.Tech in Nanotechnology

• B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Nanotechonology/Biochemical/ Biomedical/ Biotechnology/ Chemical/ Electronics/Energy/Electrical/ Metallurgy and M.Sc in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology/Physics/Chemistry/ Material Science/ Electronics/ Biotechnology and allied courses with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST)

M.Sc in Horticulture

• B.Sc ( Horticulture)/ B.Sc(Ag)/ with a minimum of 4 years or 8-semester programme of the University
• With Minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST)

Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering

• M.E/M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering/ Biotechnology/Electrical/ECE/Mechanical/Computer/Instrumentation and Control, Nanotechnology or M.Sc in Biomedical Instrumentation, Electronics, Biophysics

Ph.D in Electronics &Communication Engineering

• M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineer or Equivalent
• Candidates must have 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks aggregate

Ph.D in Information Technology

• M.E/M.Tech in IT/CSE/ECE/EE or MCA or M.Sc in Computer Science/ Electronics
• Candidates must have 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks aggregate
• GATE/NET qualified candidates will be given preference

P.hD in Energy Engineering

• M.Tech/M.E in Energy Engineering, Energy Technology or Equivalent or M.sc in Energy or Equivalent
• Candidates must have 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks aggregate
• The admission will be based on the combined entrance test and Interview conducted by the department

Ph.D in Management

• Selection for admission to Ph.D programme in the Departments will be as per rules of the University

Ph.D in Agribusiness Management and Food Technology

• Candidates with at least 55% marks or a minimum of ‘B’ grade CGPA in the 7 point UGC scale at Master degree will be eligible for Admission in Ph.D

Ph.D in Horticulture

• M.Sc Horticulture/ M.Sc(Ag. In Horticulture), or Equivalent with a minimum of  55% marks (50% for SC/ST)

 M.Sc in Horticulture

•  B.Sc ( Horticulture)/ B.Sc(Ag)/ with a minimum of 4 years or 8-semester programme of the University
