MTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

For Lower Primary (Class I-V)

  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years of B.El.ED OR
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 years of Diploma in Education (Special Education)

For Upper Primary (Class VI-VIII)

  • Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% Marks and D.El.Ed/ B.Ed OR
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A/B.Sc. ED or B.A.ED/B.Sc.ED OR
  • Graduation with 50% Marks and 1 year B.Ed (Special education)

Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the Qualifying Marks in the Minimum Educational Qualification to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD Category

The Duration for the Written Examination is 150 Minutes for both the L.P and U.P MTET Exam. For each paper 30 minutes extra for PwD candidates
