Selection Procedure

The Selection for Forest Department Assam Recruitment 2020 will be through two test First Phase Test and second Phase Test
The venue of the test centre will be mention in the Call letter

Syllabus for Phase Test

For Forester-I and Forest Guard

First Phase Test: Physical Fitness Test comprising of 26 KMs (for Males) and 16 KMs (for Females) walk to be
covered within 4 (four) hours

Second Phase Test: Written Test on

General Mathematics.
English & Vernacular (Grammar & Comprehension & Composition)
Logical Reasoning and Aptitude
Assam’s History, Geography, Polity & Economy
General awareness/General knowledge and Current affairs

For Stenographer Grade-III

First Phase Test: Written Test will be the first Phase test for Stenographer Grade-III. The syllabus for the written test is the same as Forester-I subjects mentioned above

Second Phase Test: Practical test

Speed Test in shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute (duration 5 minutes & 400 words dictation), duration 5 minutes
Time to be given to the candidates for testing the computer for duration 3 minute
Time for transcription for the dictated portion in a computer, Duration 20 minutes

For Surveyor, Mahut, Carpenter and Driver

First Phase Test: Witten Test on

Elementary Arithmetic
Vernacular Language
Basic General Awareness/ General knowledge

Second Phase Test:

For Surveyor: Mensuration and Drawing

For Mahut, Carpenter and Driver: Practical Test on their relevant field
